Important standards note
ISO 14001 transition
The client brief specifies ISO 14001:2015. As of 2026, ISO lists ISO 14001:2015 as withdrawn and ISO 14001:2026 as the current edition. EN-METRICS should confirm the applicable transition requirements before commencing certification work.
ILAC pathway
Accreditation through a competent body
ILAC does not directly accredit individual laboratories or reference material producers. EN-METRICS should pursue accreditation through a competent national or international accreditation body that is an ILAC MRA signatory for the relevant scope.
In Rwanda, RSB provides laboratory accreditation and designation services and supports ISO/IEC 17025-related laboratory activities. The exact route and scope should be confirmed with the competent body. International options may also be considered where a suitable ILAC MRA signatory covers the required scope.
